Singapore Airlines na 21 jaar terug op Brussel

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is teruggekeerd naar de Belgische markt met de lancering van rechtstreekse vluchten tussen Brussel en Singapore. De langverwachte inaugurale vlucht, SQ303, vertrok zaterdag 6 april, om 12:10 uur vanaf Brussels Airport naar Singapore Changi Airport. De terugkeer naar Brussel markeert een belangrijke mijlpaal voor Singapore Airlines, omdat het de Belgische hoofdstad opnieuw verbindt met de belangrijke Asia-Pacific hub Singapore, en dit na een afwezigheid van meer dan 20 jaar.

Met een officiële plechtigheid en een doop door de brandweer van de luchthaven, is de eerste vlucht van Singapore Airlines (SIA) vanaf Brussels Airport naar Singapore ingehuldigd. Na een afwezigheid van meer dan 20 jaar herstelt SIA de verbinding tussen het hart van Europa en deze metropool in Azië. De toevoeging van Brussel verhoogt het aantal Europese gateways in het netwerk van SIA naar 13, wat het engagement van de luchtvaartmaatschappij weerspiegelt om de connectiviteit voor haar klanten te verbeteren, en zo meer keuzes te bieden.

Cyprus Airways start met lijnvluchten tussen Larnaca en Brussel

Op maandag 5 februari 2024 landde voor het eerst een toestel van Cyprus Airways op Brussels Airport. De Cypriotische luchtvaartmaatschappij zal in eerste instantie twee vluchten per week aanbieden tussen Brussel en de havenstad Larnaca aan de zuidkust van het eiland.

Voor de vluchten tussen Brussel en Larnaca gaat Cyprus Airways de splinternieuwe Airbus 220-300 inzetten. Een stil en ecologisch toestel dat 25% minder brandstof verbruikt dan gemiddeld. Tot 28 maart zijn er vluchten op maandag en donderdag. Van 1 april tot 17 mei wordt dat maandag en vrijdag. En van 20 mei tot 25 oktober wordt de frequentie opgetrokken tot 3 vluchten op maandag, donderdag en vrijdag.

Singapore Airlines launching non-stop services to Brussels in April 2024

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will launch non-stop flights between Singapore and Brussels, the capital of Belgium, from 5 April 2024, returning to the city after more than 20 years. SIA will operate four weekly flights to Brussels with the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900s, which feature 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.

The addition of Brussels increases the number of European destinations in the SIA network to 13, reflecting its commitment to enhance its connectivity to this key region for the Airline.

Apart from being the capital of Belgium, Brussels is also home to the European Union (EU) and is dubbed as the EU’s capital city. The secretariat of the Benelux and headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are also located in the city. It is the most densely populated city in Belgium with the highest gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. Brussels’ unique geographical location makes it an ideal hub for rail, road, and air traffic, earning the city the moniker The Crossroads of Europe.

Royal Jordanian Airlines Launches New Route between Amman and Brussels

 

RJ offers now three weekly flights between Jordan’s capital and Brussels, Belgium

As part of the airline’s strategic plans to expand its global network and focus on incoming tourism into Jordan, Royal Jordanian (RJ) successfully introduced a new, direct route between Amman, Jordan, and Brussels, Belgium, on October 26 th, 2023. The Three weekly flights will connect passengers traveling between the two cities in just around four hours. Brussels is part of RJ’s new strategy to focus on driving tourism into Jordan and becoming the airline of choice for the Levant region. After the successful opening of Lyon, Milan, Stockholm and Düsseldorf during the last 10 months, Brussels is the fifth edition to RJ’s growing European network.

SAUDIA inaugurates maiden flight to Red Sea international airport from Riyadh 

SAUDIA, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced the commencement of flights between Red Sea International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

The maiden flight, SV1571, departed from Riyadh at 10:50 am on Thursday, September 21, covering the distance in just two hours. This flight route is scheduled to be two flights from Riyadh and the same from the Red Sea International Airport on Thursday and Saturday.

As its quest to be Wings of Vision 2030, this milestone reflects SAUDIA’s ongoing commitment to further expanding its growing network and building upon its successful operations at NEOM Bay Airport. SkyAlps vliegt deze winter opnieuw rechtstreeks van Antwerpen naar de Dolomieten

Vanaf 23 december 2023 tot 13 april 2024 vlieg je in minder dan twee uur rechtstreeks van Antwerp Airport naar Bolzano, de hoofdstad van de Italiaanse provincie Zuid-Tirol. De gerenommeerde maatschappij SkyAlps last drie heen-en-terug-vluchten in per week, telkens op woensdag, zaterdag en zondag.

Een enkel ticket is beschikbaar vanaf 174 euro, taksen incl. En ook de vluchtduur is met een gemiddelde van 90 minuten erg laag. Daarmee is het verreweg de makkelijkste manier om komende winter in het Dolomietengebergte te raken. De luchthaven van Bolzano ligt namelijk op amper een uurtje rijden van de Italiaanse skipistes. Zo zoef je dezelfde dag nog over de legendarische Sella Ronda.

De vluchten wordt uitgevoerd met een turbopropvliegtuig De Havilland Dash Q400 met 76 zitjes en vliegt bijna even snel als een regionale turbojet.

Vertrek op woensdag en zondag telkens om 16.40 u., aankomst om 18.35 u. in Bolzano. Op zaterdag is het vertrek om 14.40 u. en aankomst in Italië om 16.35 u. De terugvluchten zijn woensdag en zondag om 14 u. Met aankomst in Antwerpen om 15.55 u. Op zaterdag is de retourvlucht om 12 u. met aankomst om 13.55 u.

Subject to regulatory approval, flight SQ304 will depart Singapore for Brussels on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 2355hrs (local time). The return sector, operated as flight SQ303, will depart Brussels for Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1210hrs (local time).

The addition of Brussels increases the number of European destinations in the SIA network to 13, reflecting its commitment to enhance its connectivity to this key region for the Airline.

As part of the airline’s strategic plans to expand its global network and welcome new visitors to the Kingdom, Royal Jordanian (RJ) has announced a new direct route between Amman, Jordan and Brussels, Belgium beginning October 26.

RJ will offer twice-weekly flights, every Thursday and Sunday, between Jordan’s capital and Brussels, Belgium from Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan and Brussels Airport International Airport in Brussels, Belgium

RJ will begin operating twice weekly flights between the two capital cities allowing passengers to travel from Belgium to Jordan, and vice versa, in just around four to five hours.

Air Transat in 2023 driemaal per week van België naar Canada

Air Transat heeft de zomerdienstregeling voor 2023 bekendgemaakt. Op het hoogtepunt van het seizoen zal de carrier 3 rechtstreekse vluchten per week van Brussels Airport naar Montreal uitvoeren. Tegelijk wordt het aantal vluchten vanuit Canada naar de Verenigde Staten verhoogt en versterkt de luchtvaartmaatschappij haar binnenlands vluchtprogramma. De vluchten worden uitgevoerd met de nieuwe Airbus A321LR. Dit vliegtuig, het groenste in zijn categorie, versterkt de inspanningen van de luchtvaartmaatschappij om verantwoord toerisme te bevorderen. Dit toestel verbruikt 15% minder brandstof en verminderd de NOx-uitstoot met 50%.
